Hop Highland Tours
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking. By making a booking with Hop Highland Tours, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions
1.1 In these Terms:
“Booking” means your reservation for a tour made verbally, in writing, or online.
“Services” means the tour or related services provided by Hop Highland Tours.
“Price” means the total cost of the Services as displayed or quoted at the time of booking.
“We / Us / Our” means Hop Highland Tours, Inverness, Scotland.
“You / Your” means the person making the Booking and all participants included in the Booking.
“Working Day” means any day other than Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in Inverness, Scotland.
“Event Outside Our Control” has the meaning given in clause 10.
1.2 References to “written” or “in writing” include email.
2. Our Contract With You
2.1 A binding contract is formed when:
You pay the required deposit or full payment; and
We issue confirmation of your Booking.
2.2 It is your responsibility to ensure all details provided at the time of booking are accurate.
2.3 The tour date, start time, duration and meeting location will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.
3. Booking & Payment
3.1 Payment terms are set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
3.2 We reserve the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received in accordance with the agreed terms.
3.3 Prices are shown in GBP (£) and may be updated from time to time. The price applicable to your booking is the price at the time of reservation.
4. Provision of Services
4.1 We will provide the Services on the agreed date and time.
4.2 We reserve the right to make minor amendments to itineraries where necessary due to operational, weather, safety, or access conditions.
4.3 Any changes will not materially alter the overall experience.
4.4 We reserve the right to correct errors in marketing materials, website content, or pricing at any time.
5. Your Responsibilities
5.1 You must:
Arrive at the agreed meeting location on time.
Dress appropriately for Scottish weather and terrain.
Wear suitable footwear.
Follow all reasonable instructions given by your guide.
5.2 You must not:
Be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Engage in unsafe or disruptive behaviour.
5.3 We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate the tour without refund if behaviour compromises safety, comfort, or the welfare of others.
5.4 You are responsible for any damage caused to our vehicle or property and agree to reimburse reasonable repair or replacement costs.
5.5 You are responsible for your own personal belongings.
6. Health & Safety
6.1 You must inform us in advance of any medical condition, mobility issue, or special requirement that may affect participation.
6.2 We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from undisclosed medical conditions.
6.3 Participation in outdoor activities carries inherent risk. By booking, you acknowledge and accept this.
7. Children & Car Seats
7.1 Children aged 5–15 must be accompanied by an adult.
7.2 Children under 11 years old and under 135cm must use an appropriate child seat as required by law.
7.3 One child seat may be provided upon request at the time of booking.
8. Photography & Media
8.1 We may take photographs or videos during tours for promotional use, including website and social media.
8.2 By participating, you consent to the use of images in which you may appear.
8.3 You may request removal of specific images by contacting us in writing.
9. Liability
9.1 We are responsible for loss or damage caused by our negligence or breach of contract where such loss is foreseeable.
9.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the total Price paid for the Booking.
9.3 We do not accept liability for:
Loss of personal belongings
Indirect or consequential losses
Travel or accommodation expenses incurred outside the tour booking
9.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:
Death or personal injury caused by negligence
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
Any matter which cannot legally be excluded under Scottish law
10. Events Outside Our Control
10.1 We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather
Road closures
Accidents
Government restrictions
Industrial disputes
Natural disasters
10.2 Where such an event occurs, we will:
Notify you as soon as reasonably possible;
Offer an alternative date where feasible; or
Provide a refund in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
11. Cancellation
11.1 Your cancellation rights and applicable refunds are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11.2 We reserve the right to cancel a booking where:
Payment is not received as required;
Safety is compromised;
Behaviour is deemed unacceptable;
Operational circumstances prevent the tour from proceeding.
12. Intellectual Property
12.1 All intellectual property rights in materials produced by Hop Highland Tours remain our property.
12.2 You may not use our name, logo, or images without prior written consent.
13. Governing Law
13.1 These Terms are governed by Scottish law.
13.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
